QS Top Universities and The Good University Guides have released their annual university ratings.

James Cook University (JCU) received 5 stars in teaching, facilities, employability, and research from QS Top Universities and 5 stars in social equality, learner engagement, graduate salary, and full-time employment from The Good University Guides.

For 11 years in a row, JCU has been the only Queensland University, and 1 of 3 Australian universities to receive a 5 out of 5-star rating for undergraduate and postgraduate employability.

The incredibly high level of JCU graduates securing full-time employment straight out of university has continued to soar. This past year, 3 quarters of JCU graduates secured full-time employment within 4 months of completing their course.

JCU’s undergraduate and postgraduate starting salaries was also awarded 5 stars, placing JCU within the top 10 universities Australian wide.

JCU’s postgraduate starting salary, a median of $100,000 was additionally praised in The Good University Guide and is notably the highest postgraduate starting salary in Queensland and 3rd nationally.

JCU Vice-Chancellor Professor Sandra Harding said the latest results from the Guide demonstrated once again that JCU provides its students with a high-quality education and very strong career prospects.
