JCU Brisbane Students at CISA Conference

A group of passionate students recently represented JCU Brisbane at the 2018 Council of International Student Australia (CISA) Conference in Cairns. CISA is the national peak student representative organisation for international students studying at the postgraduate, undergraduate, private college, TAFE, ELICOS and foundation level.

During this visit, the group attended multiple workshops, networked with other student leaders, executives, government representatives and academic professionals and give feedback to CISA executives to develop strategies and positions on a range of topics currently facing the international student sector.

Adam Stronczack, a JCU Brisbane student and representative stated, “In general, the entire CISA conference was a wonderful experience for me. I had a chance to be involved in something quite remarkable. I took a lot from it and hopefully I gave quite a bit as well”.

JCU Brisbane along with the JCU Brisbane Student Association (JCUBSA) is committed to the development of the international education sector in Australia, and through conferences like this we hope to continue empowering international students and celebrating their contribution to the Australian community.

Thank you to JCUBSA for funding this expedition and Adam Stronczak, Nishit Jitendra Chandan and Kritesh Patel for representing JCU Brisbane at the 2018 CISA Conference.
