Industry Advisory Panel Discussion

JCU Brisbane hosted an Industry Advisory Panel Discussion on the 25th of February with Ms Sarina Russo as the invited guest speaker.

As an Education provider, we hold these open forum events regularly to better understand the specific skills and expertise that businesses require in the workforce today. This is very important to us, as it assists in the development of our professional development courses and ensures our students graduate job-ready.

Throughout this event, industry leaders were asked thought-provoking questions about graduate outcomes, sought after skills for the current job market and technological advances shaping the way business is conducted. These questions became the catalyst for bigger discussions where all attendees were able to voice their views and give new insights into the recruitment needs of local and international employers, thus supporting graduate outcome measures.

As one of Australia’s leading educational providers, we take on industry research very seriously and in attendance, we had several Associate Deans, a variety of academic staff from JCUB along with 4 JCU Deans and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor. Our academic team are critical in forming the most up-to-date curriculums for our students and ensuring our students graduate job-ready and meet the needs of the future workplace.

Thank you to everyone who attended this event in person or via Zoom. With these regular open forum events, we hope to continue enhancing graduate employability and building bolder industry partnerships for the following graduating classes of career-ready talent.
