Internship Program

An experience of a lifetime - Internships are an opportunity for Masters students to gain an insight into their future careers and to create valuable networks within the workplace. Working in another country does so much more for you than you can imagine. Combine work and study in Australia and take a huge step forward in your life! Develop your employability by learning new skills, improving communication and experiencing the Australian work culture.

Program Overview

Length of Internship

  • The Internship runs for 12 weeks during a normal trimester period. The student spends 20 hours per week in a company. The student works on projects, tasks and responsibilities in conjunction with other staff members of the company and as a result gains valuable industry experience and knowledge.
  • This industry experience gives students the advantage when seeking future career employment opportunities because employers highly value professional experience and demonstrable employability skills.

Referee Service for Interns

Masters students who successfully complete their internship gain industry referees that they can nominate when seeking employment opportunities. These industry referees are reliable sources that other employers can contact to verify and support the students work experience. In addition JCUB provide students with a letter of completion and internship certificate which further validates their work experience.

Finally JCUB students can nominate up to three lecturers to act as employment referees for them. All of this is designed to maximise the value of the JCUB internship and employment opportunities for you – the graduate!

Faisal Contractor, Intern (REIQ)
Internship Program

"The Internship Program is one of the most memorable and intense learning experiences I’ve had. It has given me the opportunity to apply theory into practice which in turn helped me in securing a permanent position with my host organisation REIQ. I highly recommend such an experience for all future students who have such an opportunity."
