Students who wish to enrol in a program at JCU Brisbane will need to meet both the academic and English entry requirement for the relevant course. |
Students whose native language is not English must generally demonstrate their proficiency by achieving a score in a test such as Academic IELTS or TOEFL.
Other English language tests may also be accepted as proof of
English language proficiency.
Academic Entry Requirements
Undergraduate
Students who wish to enrol in an undergraduate degree will need to meet the academic entry requirements for the specific program.
These scores are a guide for entry into undergraduate diplomas and degrees at school leaving level - actual entry requirements may change.
Students applying who have completed some University study or other equivalent qualifications and/experience will be considered.

Postgraduate
The minimum entry level requireemnt for a postgraduate coursework program at JCU Brisbane is successful completion of study equivalent to an Australian undergraduate Bachelor award.

English Entry Requirements
Students whose native language is not English must generally demonstrate their proficiency by achieving a score in a test such as Academic IELTS or TOEFL (see table below).
Other English language tests may also be accepted as proof of English language.
Students who have successfully completed two years full-time study in which the language of instruction was English may satisfy the English requirement.
To be considered, the study must have been undertaken no more than two years prior to the date on the JCU letter of offer. Students must provide a certificate or statement issued by the Registrar's office of that institution confirming this.
