RECRUITMENT SERVICE.. James Cook University (JCU), Brisbane has provided strategic language services and support to Gemcom. Most recently, Gemcom has utilised the services of French-speaking students in support of a specific contract negotiated in New Caledonia. This complex job required staff with a very strong focus to achieve a high level of satisfaction. JCU Brisbane teamed us up with skilled students with a high level of understanding and a real drive for learning and achieving their tasks. I am impressed by the professionalism of the Employment & Careers staff at JCU Brisbane in the arrangements and in the follow up of the different tasks organised with these students. I am very satisfied with the results obtained by the team and am happy to continue our partnership as more jobs are in the pipeline.

The Brisbane Entertainment Centre is Queensland’s premier venue for indoor concerts and events. We pride ourselves on creating memorable experiences for our guests and the JCU Brisbane Campus students play a key role in delivering these experiences. We have a dynamic workforce and are very selective in who we recruit, choosing only the top 3% of all candidates to join our team. In comparison, the JCU students have an 80% success rate because the JCU Brisbane Campus Job Equip staff do an excellent job in screening their students. I always look forward to interviewing their candidates and find the students from the JCU Brisbane Campus to be intelligent, engaging and highly motivated. The JCU Brisbane Campus students we have recruited have been full of energy and have definitely contributed to making the workplace diverse in culture. We simply love JCU Brisbane Campus students and look forward to building on our relationship with the Job Equip staff.

It has been our pleasure to have James Cook University students working as volunteers at Save the Children Queensland. We have been extremely impressed by the professionalism of the Joblinx staff in working with the organisation in the level of support they have offered to their student volunteers in the time they have been with us. The students have been volunteering in our Administration and Finance departments. Both students have been of great value to Save the Children working well with all the staff in the organisation. They have been outstanding in their work and our Office Administrator & Finance Manager have expressed their admiration for the students, their professional abilities and their belief in a bright future for the students. We congratulate Joblinx for preparing their students well for their working life and offering opportunities to our organisation to participate in this volunteer activity.
