Graduate Diploma of International Hospitality Management
Study International Hospitality Management and find yourself in professional demand across Australia and overseas.
Tourism generates roughly $33 billion to the Australian economy and approximately 500,000 jobs for which demand outstrips supply every year.
Skills shortages in hospitality and tourism are well recognised and the industry is in critical need of more management level hospitality professionals.
The Tourism and Hospitality program at JCU is a multi-disciplinary program that explores tourism from a social, economic and environmental perspective. The program provides graduates with a range of disciplines to study in and equips them with the skills needed for the sustainable management of tourism products, resources, destinations and infrastructure. The Graduate Diploma in International Hospitality Management offers coursework subjects in hospitality management, gastronomy, economic decision making in hospitality, sustainability and marketing.
It is an ideal degree for people seeking shorter courses in International Hospitality Management or for those wanting to assess the level of work required without committing to a full length Master degree.
You can complete the Graduate Diploma of International Hospitality Management as an independent award or use it as pathway to enter the Master of International Tourism & Hospitality Management (MITHM), a joint degree with our Master of Business Administration (MBA).
